BAR GROISMAN

Bar Groisman is a dancer, choreographer and writer born in Tel Aviv, Israel. Based in the UK, she is the founder of Sababa Co, currently making works exploring the relationship between text, movement and theatre. In 2019, she graduated from The Northern School of Contemporary Dance where she developed her performance and choreographic skills. Bar platformed her first company work, Aize Balagan, at Resolution! Festival at The Place in London this year. She was then invited to a residency in Lund, Sweden, to create a solo piece, Chameleon Life. Skirt, Wine And Louis Armstrong is about being absolutely "fine", drinking too much wine and trying your very best to stay completely elegant. It is about a woman, a woman being choked by layers and being at the same place at the same time every bloody day, with only the light from her lamp to keep her awake against the grey outside. To abide by rules, and stay absolutely "fine". https://www.sababacompany.co.uk

DELICIA SEFIHA
Delicia Sefiha is a Bristol- based artist working within different areas of dance. She trained in contemporary dance and physical theatre for years and holds a degree in combined creative arts (contemporary dance and literature). Her work revolves around stories and characters that exist on the edge, between a real and a surreal world, in a mix of reality, fantasy, movement, text, physicality and imagery. Delicia is currently working as the artistic director of AllouAqui Dance Theatre, which she founded alongside Xavier De Santos and Samuel De La Torre and as an independent dance artist in various dance performance and on screen projects.
Orchaostra tells the story of a conductor wavering between control and disorder as she attempts to keep her unruly orchestra under control, clawing her way through a journey of resisting and accepting chaos. The solo ignites a game between movement and Luc Ferrari’s Strathoven and an invitation to surrender to the unpredictable. Isn’t having control a mere fantasy after all?  (Strahoven recorded1985, Luc ferrari, copyright 2018 Maison Ona) https://www.deliciasefiha.com/

Excerpts of South London Scratch Night Online 2021

' South London Scratch Night was a warm and welcoming online performance sharing of four experimental solos...the night ran smoothly and was perfectly well organised...This opportunity for discussion, sharing, questioning and building ideas is vital for experimental works, especially artists working independently '  - Stella Rousham, Dance Art Journal
