Film Description:
Concrete Kisses (2019) uses the moving body to explore an architectural space. Creating freedom and comfort in a location through a developed understanding of yourself within it.
Bio:
Eloïse Mavronicholas is a multi-disciplinary artist based in London UK, with experience in performance, choreography, photography and film. She trained for her BA in Contemporary Dance at Roehampton University, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in July 2018. She is currently a student on the MA Screendance at London Contemporary Dance School. Her work explores physical and filmic elements hand in hand, creating a hybrid product which facilitates the interweaving of art forms.
Eloïse's work investigates the options for the subject in space. It is highly design inclined with a specific interest in architectural texture of the location in which she films, and the effect this can have on the subject. Aiming to disrupt the viewers’ expectations of conventional narrative structure, her films are predominantly of an abstract structure.
